The Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program(CPNP) runs a local program called Healthy From the Start which assists pregnant women and new mothers living in conditions of risk. It aims to reduce the incidence of unhealthy birth weights and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, and to improve the health of both mother and infant.
